Job Description

Primary Purpose of the Position:

 

The role is accountable for the overall effective management, improvement and new strategic frameworks around the research and development of new benefits for Namibian social protection, whilst ensuring optimal application of fund design in current and new benefits.

 

Key Performance Areas:

 

•Provide strategic leadership and executive oversight of the Business Development Function. •Lead the identification, research, validation, design, and approval of New Social Security Benefit Funds for Namibia. •Direct the implementation and operationalisation of New Social Security Benefit Funds for Namibia. •Champion, research and benchmark the development, implementation, and evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes. •Oversee the analysis, optimisation, and sustainability of Development Funds. •Drive enterprise-wide data governance, data quality improvement, and resource optimisation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. •Lead strategic research, economic analysis, and forecasting initiatives to inform policy development, business growth, and organisational strategy.

Job Requirements:

 

•Master’s Degree in Social Sciences.•The supporting Hons Degree could have been in Commerce, Finance and Economics. An MBA will be to the incumbent’s advantage, as the management of Funds in a commercially competitive environment is the context within which the role must operate. Further qualifications in Investment / Fund Management will be essential. •10 years experience in a commercial environment where social responsibility programs and / or financial funding was managed.

•At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, developing people and achieving strategic objectives successfully.
