Smollan Kenya in Partnership with Stanbic are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven sales executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for onboarding and cross selling bank products to new and existing business customers. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong relationships with clients.
Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify, onboard and maintain new/existing client relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the bank to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business code of ethics.
  • Drive uptake of various SME solutions including but not limited to transactional, lending, investments, insurance and trade solutions.
  • Obtain and share client product satisfaction with business.
  • Pre- profiling of new customers to obtain feedback on their product uptake experience.
  • Ownership to resolve any problems/complaints obtained from customers contacted.
  • Life stage probing of customers into potential future needs, positioning of the bank product offering and logging any leads as expected.
  • Compile common service breakdown points aimed at process improvement.
  • Responsible for the adoption of Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions related requirements contained in bank policies, procedures and processes and subsequently, where necessary, escalating to the line manager/ Supervisor.

Key performance measures

  • Customer Growth through new to bank client onboarding
  • Financial Performance - Contribute towards a sustainable balance sheet and P&L growth through meeting sales budgets across various product lines.  Increase revenue through maximizing cross-selling opportunities to drive additional solutions and identify sales leads during interactions with clients.
  • Risk and compliance - Ensure onboarding of quality business through conduct of necessary due diligence. Ensure booking of quality loans and tracking of performance post drawdown. Ensure no reputation / legal risk through the strict following of KYC and AML guidelines and correct provision of information to clients.
  • Business Process Improvement through identification of service breakdown and proactively addressing various client pain points.
  • Learning and growth – Enhanced product and process knowledge through continuous learning.
Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:  Degree in business relevant field

Minimum Experience: Sales experience in Banking, Sacco, microfinance or any other type of financial institution
