RBS Insurance Brokers is looking for an articulate, extroverted Lead Generation Agent to join our Bedfordview team. You will identify businesses suited to short-term insurance, make 50+ calls a day, and set up Teams meetings between prospects and our Account Executives. Job Description
The purpose of this role is to build a consistent pipeline of new short-term insurance business for RBS by identifying suitable prospect businesses, engaging them through high-volume outbound calling, and converting that engagement into qualified meetings for the Account Executive team.

- Contribute to RBS's new business pipeline by consistently meeting outbound activity and meeting targets.
- Use call lists, data sources and tools provided in a cost-effective way
Client
- Represent RBS professionally and accurately in every outbound interaction, first impressions matter, as this is often a prospect's first contact with RBS.
- Capture accurate, useful context on each prospect for a smooth handover to the Account Executive.
Business processes
- Identify and qualify businesses suitable for short-term commercial insurance, using lead lists / data sources provided and own research.
- Conduct around 50 outbound calls per day to identified businesses.
- Secure a minimum of one (1) qualified meeting per day for an Account Executive, held via Microsoft Teams.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of calls made, outcomes and pipeline status in the agreed tracking tool / CRM.
- Provide weekly reporting on call volumes, meetings booked and outcomes.
- Action feedback from Account Executives on lead quality and meeting outcomes to continuously improve targeting.
- Adhere to RBS quality standards and relevant consumer protection / data privacy requirements when making outbound contact.

Job Requirements
Core Requirements
- Matric or equivalent.
- Very articulate, confident verbal communicator in English, this role is judged on first impressions over the phone.
- Extroverted, outgoing personality, genuinely energised by talking to people, including strangers, all day.
- Resilient with real grit, able to handle high rejection rates and stay motivated through repetitive outbound calling.
- Comfortable spending 5+ hours per day actively dialling and speaking to prospects.
- Computer literate (MS Office, Teams, CRM / call tracking tools).
- Able to work full-time from the Bedfordview office.
Bonus Points
- Previous outbound sales, telesales or lead generation experience.
- Existing understanding of short-term insurance or financial services products.
- An existing local business network or contacts within the Gauteng SME market.
- Prior CRM / dialler tool experience.
