We're Hiring: Personal and Commercial Claims Consultant

?? Location: Cape Town | ?? Full-time, in office

Are you an experienced claims professional with a passion for service excellence and attention to detail? We’re looking for a Personal and Commercial Claims Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll manage the end-to-end claims process, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for our clients while upholding company standards and regulatory compliance.

Role Purpose

To deliver efficient and professional claims administration and advice across both personal and commercial lines, supporting our business objectives while ensuring exceptional client service.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Communication

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and professional communication to all stakeholders (clients, account executives, insurers).

  • Keep clients informed throughout the claims process.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to achieving client satisfaction and service excellence targets.

Claims Administration

  • Manage the full claims process in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.

  • Register and process claims accurately and within timelines.

  • Appoint assessors/loss adjustors where required.

  • Apply policy terms and conditions and assess validity of claims.

  • Manage mandated claims and escalate where needed.

  • Obtain and approve service quotes; facilitate claims payments.

  • Keep internal systems and records updated at all times.

  • Drive recovery processes, monitor follow-ups, and maintain communication with clients.

  • Flag any instances of suspected fraud, dishonesty, or misrepresentation.

Performance & Compliance

  • Meet productivity and quality assurance targets.

  • Ensure adherence to internal mandates and regulatory frameworks.

  • Support process improvement and team development initiatives.

  • Participate in ad hoc projects and contribute to team success.

Job Requirements

What You’ll NeedMinimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Matric or equivalent

  • RE 5 certification

  • NQF4/5

  • FAIS-compliant qualification/credits

  • Valid DOFA

  • Computer literate (CIMS knowledge is advantageous)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Personal and Commercial Claims
