Job Description

Lead a cross-functional agile team to deliver high-quality digital product features that drive eCommerce growth. Act as the voice of the customer and the business, translating commercial goals (sales) into a prioritized technical backlog. 

Work in close collaboration with various internal PEP Departments (Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Merchandise and Supply Chain), PepkorNexTech, (PNT) as well as external vendors to create a seamless online shopping experience that focuses on user engagement, ensuring industry standards and best practices are applied.

Job Requirements

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS 

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree (Commerce, Marketing, IT, or Computer Science).

  • Certified Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.

  • At least 3-5 years experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a digital environment.

  • Experience in eCommerce

  • 2+ years experience in a leadership or team lead role.

  • Experience in eCommerce - Retail focus will be advantageous

  • Proficiency in product management tools (Jira, Confluence).

  • Strong understanding of eCommerce Eco system and Platforms (e.g. Magento, Shopify, Stock2Shop, PIM, Supply Chain, ERP) and User Experience (UX) principles.

  • Knowledge of Digital Marketing and related ecosystems (e.g., SEO/SEM, CDP, Customer Identity).

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data (Google Analytics, PowerBI) to drive decisions.

  • Presentation, communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to balance eCommerce sales goals with technical feasibility.

  • Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team.

  • Good communication skills and a team player who can cope in a dynamic environment.
