Job Description

Key Performance Areas

Oversee the campus’s day-to-day security operations, building management systems, and related facility services. Assist in implementing and coordinating operational security and building management system operations; Lead the Emergency Response Team regarding emergencies. Ensure the security infrastructure, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, alarm systems, visitor management and CCTV, and monitoring systems are functioning optimally and that the building management systems support efficient and safe facility operations. Lead a team of security personnel and third-party contractors; ensure compliance with safety and security policies and perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Criminal Justice, Policing, Correctional Management or a related field with four (4) years of experience in building management systems, campus control, security systems, or facilities management, of which at least one (1) year should have been in a security and/or building systems supervisory role. Advanced relevant private security/police training, good English communication, investigative skills, and knowledge of safety and security standards and policies will be an added advantage.

All qualifications must be certified by the Police within the last three (3) months, and all foreign qualifications must be validated by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA). The normal retirement age is 65. Non-Namibian candidates who are deemed suitable for appointment will be offered a contract of five (5) years.
