Job Description

Responsibilities: 

•Operate the tumblers and ensure lint free cloths are placed in the tumblers during the tumbling process, resetting the HMI to resume the cycle.

•Remove product from tumblers, drying trollies, decant into specified containers and label

•Verify product identification and batch numbers on tumblers and trolleys

•Wash capsules with solvents in a capsule washer as per schedule.

•Do pre-start-up checks on the Visual Inspection System including the metal detector tests.

•Continuously inspect all products in blue bins as per SOP before packing onto pallets

•Sort capsules manually on the sorting table to identify defective capsules according to SOP

•Record relevant data on MES according to SOP

•Dispose of rejected capsules according to SOP and track the weight of rejected capsules.

•Maintain housekeeping standards in the department

•Inspect and clean all equipment in the Visual Inspection area, sorting area and ensure safety devices are working effectively.

•Label all containers and trollies to avoid cross contamination

Job Requirements

Requirements: 

• Grade 12 certificate.

• Basic Computer literacy

• Previous sorting experience

• 1-year previous experience in a FMCG or pharmaceutical environment

• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP

• Production documentation, reconciliation and processes.
