Graphic Designer – Full-Time, On-Site
Southern Suburbs, Cape Town | Mid-Level | Market-Related Salary
Please note that this position is on-site.
About the Role
Octane Marketing is seeking a multi-skilled Graphic Designer who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, can juggle multiple brands, and has a sharp eye for detail — across both print and digital media. This is an office-based position and here’s why:
At Octane Marketing, we know that the best ideas often spark in the moment — around a whiteboard, over a coffee, or during an impromptu brainstorm with your team just a desk away. That’s why this role is fully on-site at our studio in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
While remote work has its place, we think you'll find the real energy, inspiration, and creative flow comes from working side-by-side with a team that lives and breathes great design.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand & Identity: Logo creation, brand development, CI application, and ensuring consistency across multiple brands
- Marketing Design: Engaging social media content, digital ads, emailers, and campaign assets
- Editorial & Layout Design: Policy wording, brochures, presentations, pitch decks, and other long-form documents – accuracy is critical
- Web & Interface Design: Layouts for websites, landing pages, and front-end app interfaces
- Video & Motion: Basic animation, motion graphics, and light video editing for educational and social content
Note: As a growing agency, this role may expand to include additional creative responsibilities over time.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- A diploma or degree in Graphic Design (or similar)
- 3–5 years of relevant experience (agency or multi-brand environment preferred)
- Strong attention to detail — especially when working with financial and policy content
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro; XD and Acrobat are a plus)
- Experience designing for e-learning (video content, motion, screen graphics)
- A solid understanding of UI design (no coding required)
- Strong layout, digital design, and typography skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
Why Working On-Site is Worth It
Being in-office means:
- Real-time collaboration with creatives who speak your language
- Faster feedback and fewer misunderstandings
- Shared wins
- A work culture that’s alive, energizing, and full of momentum
It’s more than just a desk — it’s a space where your ideas are seen, heard, and brought to life with the support of a talented team.
