Job Description

The purpose and role of a finishing Foreman is to ensure the delivery of finishing & specialist  packages of the project safely, on time, within budget and snag free, responsible for scheduling, coordinating and supervising site operatives, organise site teams, control construction activities related to finishing trade elements of the project, responsible for placing of material & plant orders timeously, coordinating & implementation companies SHE procedures & policies, ensure implementation of the companies QMS procedures & policies, ensure that a quality product is achieved according to project specifications and good building practice.  Will be required to do work within your abilities from time to time that is outside the Job Description as detailed above.

Ensuring overall implementation and maintenance of HSE measures in the work area

Taking complete Responsibility and Accountability for the overall quality compliance of all areas under his/her control

Executes the project plan and programme

Drives the construction process on site

Supervisors workforce, people development and health industrial relations

 

Academic Qualification

Grade 10

Occupational Health and Safety Course 

 

Years of Experience

10 Years + Technical Experience 

3 Years + Managerial Experience

 

Professional Registration and Statutory appointment

Statutory Appointment 8(7) Construction Supervisor

Role specific Demands

Plan, implement and manage construction tasks and activities in accordance with priorities and goals

Manage and monitor labour and subcontractors performance and attendance 

Produce 2 weekly program and resource schedules in line with project program

Adhere to relevant safety regulations

Implementation of QCP inspections and checklist sign off's
