Job Description

Job Title: 

Junior GMS Accountant

Purpose of the Job

To participate in the efficient running of the Head Office (Sandton) function as well as the provision of an accounting and reporting function for GMS.

Key Performance Areas  

Office Management

•Ensuring that all annual, quarterly payments for head office expenses and contractual are paid timeously, i.e. subscriptions, flowers etc.

Bookkeeping

•Monthly management of the company credit card reconciliation and allocation
•Analysis of the marketing, IT and Group Services expenses to be submitted for management reporting
•Prepare and post journal entries to reallocate expenses for the marketing, IT and Group service departments
•Producing manual invoices for the business, i.e. intercompany, non-tenant and related third party
•Processing foreign payments
•Loading of fund and local GMS invoices on Fraxion for payments
•Coding fund and GMS related invoices before payment.
•Controlling and reporting on actual versus budget expenditure for GMS Cost centers
•Authorizing of company invoices and POs for Rennie’s Travel – (Group Bookings Only)
•Assist with external audit as and when required
•Prepare and post general journal entries for GMS 
•Other ad-hoc duties as assigned 
•Facilitate GMS monthly rentals by preparing the schedule, send them to AP for payment and Credit Control for receipting.

•GMS vouchers, reconciliation and allocation

• Excellent touch-typing skills with a high accuracy rate

Experience

• 3 Years in an office admin function
• Bookkeeping experience is essential

Education

• Diploma in Accounting
