Purpose of the Job:
To provide Human Resources (HR) Generalist function and support the HR Department in the successful execution of the FSCA Strategic Human Capital objectives.
Key Performance Areas:
•Provide HR services and support to the HR management team, line managers and employees;
•Advice employees and line managers on policies, practices and procedures;
•Advice line managers on HR issues, and assist line managers in solving them;
•Facilitate the recruitment and selection process in line with the recruitment and selection policy and strategy,including administration of appointment and transfers;and the exit process;
•Review and prepare job profiles, job descriptions, and job specifications;
•Advise staff on performance management processes and development matters;
•Provide advice on FSCA compensation/rewards matters and employee benefits;
•Provide advice on employee relations matters (grievances / disciplinary process);
•Assist in the compilation of periodic, statistical and project reports; and
•Perform general administration function and project related function as directed by the HR Management team.

The candidate must demonstrate the following skills: People management, problem solving and analysis, interpersonal, strong administration, systems and filing skills, conflict management, communication, stakeholder relationships, knowledge of current HR legislation, ability to perform consistently under pressure and have strong numerical skills.

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification is required. A postgraduate qualification in business, psychology, or industrial psychology will be an added advantage. The successful candidate must have at least five years of continuous experience as an HR generalist in the financial services industry, with exposure to all areas of human resources, including report writing.
