Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized individual to take on the role of Warehouse Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all aspects of warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, fleet coordination, and ensuring timely and accurate order pulling and dispatching. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient service delivery and supporting customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of stock
- Ensure accurate inventory management through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and effective stock control procedures
- Monitor and maintain warehouse systems, bin locations, and inventory records to ensure stock accuracy
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damaged stock, shortages, and overstock situations
- Coordinate fleet operations, vehicle loading, dispatch schedules, and maintenance requirements
- Supervise warehouse employees including order pickers, forklift drivers, receiving clerks, and general workers
- Monitor staff productivity and performance against operational targets and KPIs
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Assist with resolving customer queries relating to stock availability, deliveries, and operational issues
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, vehicle checklists, records, and warehouse documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and service delivery
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory role
- Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, and fleet coordination
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems
- Diploma or qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management will be advantageous
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics processes, and health and safety regulations
- Valid Code 8 manual driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
