PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Stock Clerk 3 (Camera Room) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of stock records through detailed monitoring, verification, and investigation processes. The role focuses primarily on camera surveillance to validate stock movements, identify discrepancies, and ensure stock is handled in accordance with company standards and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and review stock movements by comparing system records with camera footage to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate inconsistencies between system data, documentation, gate activity, and camera footage; conduct root cause analysis and resolve variances.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all reconciliation activities, including findings, corrective actions, and adjustments.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on outbound stock movements based on camera footage.
  • Investigate and resolve stock-related queries by cross-referencing system records with video evidence.
  • Perform random checks on full loads using camera surveillance to ensure compliance with loading procedures and accuracy of stock dispatch.
  • Manage and organise camera footage to ensure efficient retrieval for audits, investigations, and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure stock handling processes comply with company standards and identify any irregular or non-compliant activities.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and coaching initiatives.
  • Support team objectives and contribute to the overall success of the operation.
Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  •  Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel)
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehousing and logistics, preferably within the FMCG industry
  • Experience in the security or surveillance environment is advantageous.

 

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in handling stock, documentation, and data

Good numerical ability with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Investigative mindset with the ability to conduct root cause analysis

Computer literacy, including experience with WMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

Good understanding of warehouse and distribution processes

Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency

Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal stakeholders

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and responsibility

High level of integrity, honesty, and reliability

Proactive and self-motivated approach to work

Adaptability and willingness to learn and improve

Commitment to following processes, controls, and compliance standards

Willingness to work nightshifts (including weekends if required)
