The Competition Commission seeks to appoint a dynamic, detail-orientated and client-centric Talent Acquisition Officer to join the Human Capital team within the Corporate Services Division.
Job Description
The successful incumbent will support the effective implementation of the full recruitment lifecycle by providing administrative, coordination, and process support, ensuring efficient graduate, professional and executive recruitment and onboarding delivery, pipeline movement, compliance, and a seamless candidate and stakeholder experience.
A starting annual Total Cost to Company package of R 771 066,17 (negotiable commensurate with experience)
Please note this position is available on a five-year fixed term contract, renewable.
Key Accountabilities
The main responsibilities of the incumbent will, inter alia, include:
- Coordinate and maintain accurate job profiles and job descriptions, ensuring alignment with organisational requirements and timely preparation and publication of recruitment advertisements.
- Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including placement of advertisements, preliminary screening of CVs against requirements, and coordination of interview scheduling and logistics.
- Ensure smooth and efficient interview processes by preparing interview packs, facilitating stakeholder communication, and supporting adherence to interview guidelines and procedures.
- Coordinate assessment, case study and competency-testing processes, including scheduling, communication of guidelines, and facilitation of feedback sessions where required.
- Implement recruitment processes in line with organisational policies, labour legislation, and regulatory requirements, ensuring full compliance and audit readiness.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, including interview documentation, background checks, verification reports, and compliance files in accordance with governance standards.
- Build and maintain service-orientated relationships with HR Business Partners, line managers, candidates, and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and timeous communication.
- Support onboarding coordination and contribute to initiatives that enhance candidate experience, employer branding, and EVP delivery.
- Coordinate graduate recruitment activities, including advert placement, application management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting on programme performance and pipeline progress.
- Ensure data integrity within the ATS by maintaining accurate candidate information, updating vacancy trackers, and generating recruitment reports such as time-to-fill, applicant volumes, and vacancy rates.
Job Requirements
We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and committed individual who meets the following requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resources, Human Sciences, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development or related field of study.
- A Degree in Human Resources, Human Sciences, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development or related discipline will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience of working as an HR professional with at least 2 years working within recruitment and selection.
- At least 4 years’ working experience as an HR professional, with at least 3 years working within recruitment & selection is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working with competency assessment systems and testing.
- Experience working with middle-to-senior management stakeholders.
- Proven ability managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Exposure to recruitment within a regulatory or compliance-driven environment will be an added advantage
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Other considerations:
Practical work exposure to area of expertise will be further considered to balance against other requirements.
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative within defined processes.
- Flexibility to work overtime and/or irregular hours.
- Computer Literacy: MS Office, recruitment ATS platforms, HRIS
- Problem solving and sound judgement
- Excellent & confident communicator.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office particularly.
- Excellent standard of written English.
- Client-centric approach
