Purpose Of The Job:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for organizing, planning, and executing training programs for employees to enhance their skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work.
This role involves coordinating with various departments to identify training needs, managing training schedules, maintaining training records, and ensuring that all training programs are delivered effectively and efficiently.
1. Training Coordination
• Coordinate internal and external training programmes across multiple divisions (Motor, Business Administration Services, Security).
• Liaise with training providers, facilitators, and industry-accredited institutions.
• Schedule training sessions and communicate logistics to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance registers, and learner documentation.
2. Compliance and Regulatory Alignment
Ensure training interventions align with:
• Skills Development Act
• BBBEE requirements
• SETA reporting requirements (e.g., merSETA, Services SETA, SASSETA where applicable)
Assist with Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) submissions.
Maintain audit-ready training files and compliance documentation.
3. Report, Support and Administration
• Assist in identifying training needs in collaboration with line managers.
• Support performance improvement initiatives through skills development.
• Track training effectiveness and compile training reports.
• Maintain the Learning Management System (if applicable).
• Prepare monthly training reports for management.
• Track training budgets and expenditure.
Critical Experience:
• 2–3 year's experience in a Training Coordinator or L&D administrative role.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries:
o Motor industry
o Business administration services
o Security services
• Experience with WSP | ATR submissions and SETA engagement.
• Exposure to learnerships and apprenticeship programmes is a must.
Minimum Education:
Technical (systems) knowledge required:
