Help launch an exciting new Australian pet insurance brand!

 

Are you a data-driven marketer with a passion for customer journeys and digital engagement? We’re looking for a CRM / Direct Marketing Specialist to join our growing team as we launch an exciting new pet insurance brand in the Australian market.

 

In this role, you’ll design and execute multi-channel customer lifecycle campaigns that support acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention. You’ll work at the heart of a compliance-conscious, customer-focused marketing team helping us shape meaningful, personalised experiences that pet parents can trust.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

CRM and Campaign Management

  • Build and optimise lifecycle journeys (acquisition, onboarding, retention, re-engagement).
  • Deploy BTL campaigns including EDM and SMS to leads and customers.
  • Schedule and manage automated workflows via HubSpot.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian privacy and financial regulations.

 

Segmentation and Personalisation

  • Analyse customer data to identify trends and targeting opportunities.
  • Develop segmented, personalised messaging to support campaign goals.
  • Use behavioural insights to drive upsell and engagement strategies.

 

Education and Engagement

  • Create campaign content that informs and empowers customers.
  • Tailor messaging by lifecycle stage, ensuring tone and clarity.
  • Collaborate with content teams to maintain accuracy and compliance.

 

Performance and Optimisation

  • Monitor KPIs and campaign performance.
  • Run A/B tests to improve engagement and outcomes.
  • Maintain clean, accurate CRM data for effective targeting.

 

Collaboration and Compliance

  • Partner with marketing, product, and compliance teams on campaign delivery.
  • Contribute to loyalty and referral initiatives.
  • Document workflows and ensure best-practice CRM usage.

 

Where you’ll work

  • Either remotely within South Africa or, at our office in the beautiful town of George in the heart of South Africa’s stunning Garden Route.
  • Working hours will be semi-aligned to the Australian time zone: 06:00 to 15:00 SA time giving you more free time later in your day!

Job Requirements

The essentials that you’ll need

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in CRM, direct marketing, or lifecycle marketing roles.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Strong understanding of email/SMS marketing, segmentation, and campaign optimisation.
  • Familiarity with compliance in a regulated industry, especially financial services or insurance.
  • Experience working with customer data to drive marketing outcomes and improve retention.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple timelines.
  • Discipline and tenacity – comfortable in working across time zones and in a fully remote setting.

 

Bonus points for

  • Diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, CRM, or a related field.
  • Insurance, financial services, or similar industry background.
  • Familiarity with Australian regulatory environment.
  • Background or passion for pets or animal welfare.
  • Highly organised, with strong project management skills.
  • Values-driven with a strong understanding of compliance and data ethics.
