The ARC seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic person to the following position(s) at ARC-SG Bethlehem
Job Description
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993).
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA).
  • Coordinate occupational medical surveillance programmes.
  • Facilitate OHS training and awareness initiatives.
  • Conduct inspections and internal audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Construction Regulations.
  • Monitor contractor safety compliance.
  • Manage incident reporting and investigations.
  • Support safe handling and monitoring of the Class I radioactive device in collaboration with the Radiation Protection Officer.
  • Compile quarterly OHS compliance reports for campus and Council.
Job Requirements
  • National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent BTech.
  • Bachelor’s degree and Post-graduate diploma in the relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Registration with SACPCMP or relevant professional body (advantageous).
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ OHS experience in a high-risk environment.
  • Proficiency in Ms. Office suite.
  • Provide budget inputs and adherence to the allocated budget.
  • Knowledge of the SAGE system will be an added advantage.
  • Good analytical organizational and verbal communication skill.
  • Exercising Confidentiality to Information.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
