The ARC seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic person to the following position(s) at ARC-SG Bethlehem
Job Description
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993).
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA).
- Coordinate occupational medical surveillance programmes.
- Facilitate OHS training and awareness initiatives.
- Conduct inspections and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with Construction Regulations.
- Monitor contractor safety compliance.
- Manage incident reporting and investigations.
- Support safe handling and monitoring of the Class I radioactive device in collaboration with the Radiation Protection Officer.
- Compile quarterly OHS compliance reports for campus and Council.
Job Requirements
- National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent BTech.
- Bachelor’s degree and Post-graduate diploma in the relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Registration with SACPCMP or relevant professional body (advantageous).
- Minimum 3-5 years’ OHS experience in a high-risk environment.
- Proficiency in Ms. Office suite.
- Provide budget inputs and adherence to the allocated budget.
- Knowledge of the SAGE system will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical organizational and verbal communication skill.
- Exercising Confidentiality to Information.
- Valid Driver’s license.
