The ARC seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic person to the following position(s) at Animal Production (ARC-AP), Irene, Pretoria
Job Description
  • Conduct applied research on Yellow Mealworm biology and production systems.

     

  • Develop, refine, and document effective breeding and rearing strategies.

     

  • Investigate the use of different substrates to improve cost-effectiveness and sustainability.

     

  • Meticulously collect, manage, and process all experimental data.

     

  • Maintain optimal hygiene and operational protocols in the insectary.
Job Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree/ B-tech/ Advance Diploma in Entomology, Animal Science, or Agriculture.

     

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a research team.

     

  • Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration.

     

  • Must be adaptable and eager to engage with novel research concepts and methods.
