To be eligible for this role, you must hold:

  • a National Diploma in Medical Technology (Histology) or a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Laboratory Science (BSc MLS)
  • be registered with the HPCSA as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist in Histology.

These qualifications ensure that you are equipped with the scientific knowledge and professional standing to perform confidently in a specialised and evolving field. We are looking for individuals with 1–2 years of experience in a pathology laboratory environment. This experience provides the practical insight needed to navigate the complexities of histological analysis.

Skills Requirements

This role requires a well-rounded skill set. You must be able to communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans, perform basic numerical calculations with accuracy, and use computer systems effectively to support laboratory operations. Your ability to work collaboratively, adapt to evolving needs, and contribute to a learning-focused environment will be key to your success.

Role Impact
