Yes (Youth Employment Services) Programme

Industrial Engineering Support

Location: Lanseria

Programme Duration: 12 Months

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with time studies 
• Assist with layouts 
• Differentiate types of waste 
• Assist with line balancing 
• Assist in the debottlenecking process
• Exhibit a professional manner and appearance 
• Ensure behaviour that leads to effective performance is identified and developed 
• Develop an understanding of own contribution to business efficiency 
• Clarify own job requirements and performance standards with Business Manager 
• Identify and communicate training and development needs 
• Identify additional responsibilities which could be undertaken as a result of new knowledge and skills 
• after training and development courses 
• Exhibit the ability to operate well under pressure and with minimal supervision

Based on the Business Process Management (BPM) processes the job holder is responsible for:

S6 (Assure product conformity)

• S6.3 Responsible to comply with all Hygiene requirements in the plant.
• S6.2 Support complaint handling by reporting all identified non-conformities and support in the implementation of effective corrective actions determined by the process owner, when needed.

S10 (Ensure occupational health, safety and environment)

• Ensure that HSE compliance in own area of responsibility.
• Report any incident or unsafe conditions seen in the plant/ work area.

 

Job Requirements

• South-African unemployed youth
• Aged between 18 and 34
• Must be medically fit
• Must not have taken part on the YES Programme before
• Applicants must reside in Cosmo City, Diepsloot, Randburg, Roodepoort, Krugersdorp and surrounding areas.

   

Qualification, Experience Requirements

• Grade 12 
• Relevant Industrial Engineering Diploma/Degree
• Relevant qualification (PREFERABLY from a registered TVET)
• Be Technically inclined
• Attention to detail 
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) 
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, etc.) 
• Excellent time management
