MAIN PURPOSE
To support quality assurance processes by maintaining product conformity, reducing waste, and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
Job Description
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform functional tasks:
- Inspection of all incoming RM; Masterbatches, Deco and Packaging into ALPLA Stock
- Creation of all out-going COA’s to customers
- Management of Blocked/ Rejected stock still under the control of Quality
- Management of all calibrations of QC Lab Equipment.
- Conducting measurements and tests to report visual attributes per internally specified requirements
- Start-up approval and ensure first off samples are available and neatly stored
- Ensuring line clearance is conducted after and before starting up.
- Ensuring any non-conformances are communicated to all relevant parties.
- Adhere to planned testing schedule and conduct spot checks (in process inspection)
- Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping and adhere to workstation cleaning schedule
- Completing relevant paperwork and documents correctly to allow accurate data capturing system
- Ensuring articles on hold are reported and recorded
- Ensuring reworking process is monitored and articles are verified before release into finished goods.
- Sampling-Assistance, Colour matching and Pull samples as needed
- Responsible to report any risks identified for Quality and Food Safety
- Ensuring on-going awareness of Quality, Food Safety, Environmental and Health and Safety Management
- Any additional ad-hoc responsibilities/ Projects as defined by the Quality Supervisors
Based on the Business Process Management (BPM) processes the job holder is responsible for:
S6 (Assure product conformity)
- S6.3 Responsible to comply with all Hygiene requirements in the plant.
- S6.2 Support complaint handling by reporting all identified non-conformities and support in the implementation of effective corrective actions determined by the process owner, when needed.
S10 (Ensure occupational health, safety and environment)
- Ensure that HSE compliance in own area of responsibility.
- Report any incident or unsafe conditions seen in the plant/ work area.
Job Requirements
- South-African unemployed youth
- Aged between 18 and 34
- Must be medically fit
- Must not have taken part on the YES Programme before
- Applicants must reside in Cosmo City, Diepsloot, Randburg, Roodepoort, Krugersdorp and surrounding areas.
Qualification, Experience Requirements
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Quality or Microbiology
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, etc.)
- Excellent time management
- Good administrative skills with special attention to detail
