An Electrical Intern synopsis is a summary of the practical training, responsibilities, and learning goals completed by an electrical engineering student or graduate during an industrial or corporate placement.
Job Description

• Assist the Maintenance Department with daily electrical maintenance activities under supervision.

• Gain practical experience in electrical installations, maintenance and repairs.

• Assist with routine inspections, preventative maintenance, fault identification and basic electrical repairs under supervision.

• Assist with the safe handling and maintenance of electrical tools, equipment and materials.

• Adhere to electrical safety standards, occupational health and safety procedures and company policies.

• Maintain accurate records of practical training and workplace experience.

• Support general maintenance activities and departmental tasks as required.

Job Requirements

• Grade 12

• Proof of completion of an N6 Qualification in Electrical obtained through a recognised TVET College

• Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical systems, installations and maintenance

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision

• Willingness to learn and develop practical technical skills

• Ability to work effectively within a team

• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
