Job Description
This position exists to run the administration office in the business unit on a specific site, by planning activities, organizing resources, controlling risks and to ensure the successful and timeous execution of all administrative activities in respect of quality, quantity, efficiency as well as financial requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Reporting
- Complete basic training in HMS (Hazard Management System) to assist the Superintendent.
- Need to do the following:
- Measurement of HMS
- Monitor freeboard on a daily basis
- Reading of Drains
- Reading of Piezometers
- How to do upset tests
- Measurement of densities such as overflow, underflow, and
- Feed densities
- Installation and reading of freeboard poles.
- The use of a dumpy level.
- Importing of HMS information and interpolate and process information.
- Compiling of Yellow status and technical monthly reports for internal purposes.
- Do and understand the dam inspections and audits.
- Maintain site files for SOPs, work instructions, inspections, risk assessments, MOCs, permits, checklists, training and legal/compliance records.
- Ensure daily/weekly/monthly inspection checklists are completed, signed and filed. Track outstanding findings until close-out.
- Adhere to Fraser Alexander and client procedures, policies and practices.
- Assist in good management of Company assets on a site level
- Arrange and ensure employee entry and exit medicals are carried out.
- Assistance with bookings and administration relating to training
- Filing and general administrative duties for SHEQ.
- Check that records are complete, legible, accurate and submitted on time.
- Identify missing or data abnormalities and escalate it to the line manager.
- Assisting the Technical and Operations team in various tasks and administration.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years’ experience in administration or safety role
SKILS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Computer literacy
- MS Office
- Knowledge of the Tailings Dam
- Self-driven and disciplined
