Job Description
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure work is properly prepared, scheduled and executed safely and efficiently, while supporting equipment reliability and minimising production downtime.
Job Requirements
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain preventative and corrective maintenance plans.
- Create detailed job plans, including labour, materials, spares and other resources required.
- Manage maintenance notifications, work orders and maintenance backlogs.
- Coordinate maintenance requirements with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams.
- Plan shutdown maintenance and statutory inspections and ensure activities are ready for scheduling.
- Analyse equipment breakdowns, maintenance trends and costs to identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate equipment registers, maintenance history, PPM schedules and SAP PM records.
- Monitor maintenance performance and provide accurate reports and recommendations to management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualification:
- Grade 12/Matric
- N4 - N6 or equivalent in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
- Trade tested Fitter/ Electrical/ Millwright
Experience:
- 2 - 3 years Pharmaceutical manufacturing maintenance experience
- Good knowledge of maintenance processes and pharmaceutical manufacturing/ packaging requirements and SAP PM Maintenance experience
