Job Description

Maintain, troubleshoot and improve pharmaceutical packing equipment to ensure reliable machine performance, minimal downtime and safe, compliant production.

Job Requirements

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on packing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform root cause analysis to minimise recurring failures.
  • Repair, replace, test and validate equipment and machine components.
  • Provide technical support during production, machine setup and changeovers.
  • Identify and implement equipment and process improvements to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Complete job cards, work requisitions and maintenance records accurately and on time.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, validation and calibration activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, SHE, SOPs and engineering standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualification:

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • N4 - N6 or equivalent in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with 4 years’ post Apprenticeship experience as a trade tested artisan 
  • Trade tested Fitter/ Electrical/ Millwright

Experience: 

  • 10 years Packaging experience
  • In depth experience in processing and maintenance of Pharmaceutical packing lines and processes.
