Job Description
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical and automation systems to ensure reliable equipment performance, minimal downtime and safe, compliant production.
Job Requirements
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electronic and automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and diagnose electronic/automation faults.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement approved CAPAs to prevent recurring failures.
- Install, repair, test and validate electronic and automation systems and components.
- Perform equipment calibration and planned inspections according to required standards.
- Provide technical support and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate job cards, work requisitions, maintenance records and technical documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with GMP, SHE, SOPs and applicable technical standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualification:
- Grade 12/Matric
- N4 - N6 or equivalent in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
- Trade tested Fitter/ Electrical/ Millwright
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years’ Production/Engineering experience related to mechanical and electric repair and maintenance on calibration equipment
- Knowledge of PC, PLC controlled systems & instrument calibration
- Knowledge of computerised maintenance systems (SAP) would be an advantage
