Job Description

Planning, Organizing and overseeing process and production

· Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the 5s components

· Responsible for coaching & mentoring of subordinates

· Report machine breakdowns to foreman and ensure timeous attention to machine issues

· Responsible for all the material and making sure the stock is properly controlled

· Accepting the new products developed and optimising production

· Responsible for all monthly stock counting

· Responsible for co-ordinating and training others

· Ensure jobs are completed in due-time, discipline and monitor operator performance

· Perform run-net rate on the periodically

· OSHAS compliance

· Supervises crew that includes saw operators and Material handlers

· Responsible for manufacturing according to their daily schedule

· Responsible for building coffins and personnel

· Critical (have knowledge of setting Sanding machine, NC Wood Lathe machine, Band sew machine, Scrap crusher machine, Profile or Mould wrapping machine

· Responsible for addressing employee issues before referring them to HR

· Continuously evaluating operators and ensure rotation is systematically implemented

Job Requirements

• Should be fluent in English and Afrikaans (oral and written) 

•  Minimum Grade 12(STD 10)  

• Quality driven 

• Basic computer literacy 

• All the management quality skills (Interpersonal and problem –solving skills) 
• Good analytical and technical skills 
• Team work 
•  Five years’ relevant experience 
•  Knowledge of funeral product will be advantageous but not a requirement 
•  Supervisory skills for at least three years’ minimum 
•  Must have the ability to work under pressure
