Purpose of the Role
The Intermediate Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of medium to large-scale projects or multiple concurrent workstreams within strategic IT and business initiatives. This role ensures that all assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high quality standards and stakeholder satisfaction.
Working closely with cross-functional delivery teams, the Intermediate Project Manager oversees project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. The role requires strong leadership, risk management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. It also includes supporting project governance, continuous improvement.
Key Performance Areas
Plan, manage, and deliver assigned projects: Plan, manage, and deliver assigned projects.
Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, and resource plans: Approved project plans with milestones and dependencies clearly defined.
Manage risks, issues, and dependencies: Risks and issues identified, mitigated, and escalated as per governance processes.
Lead and facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder updates :Effective communication and alignment achieved with all stakeholders.
Track and report on project progress, status, and variances :Weekly or monthly status reports submitted to PMO and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with SDLC and project governance frameworks : Project documentation complete and audit-ready.
Manage vendor or third-party deliverables: Deliverables tracked and validated against scope and contracts.
Support continuous improvement within the PMO: Contribution to process enhancements, templates, and methodologies.
Mentor and guide junior project team members: Development and performance feedback provided regularly.
