Our client in the automotive industry is looking for an MVP Controller & Analyst to join their Aftersales team in Midrand.
Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the growth and profitability of the company's Maintenance Value Proposition (MVP) products, including maintenance plans. The role combines financial analysis, market research, product pricing, dealer support and financial control.

Job Requirements
  • Benchmark maintenance plan and MVP offerings against competing automotive brands.
  • Analyse pricing and ensure MVP products remain competitive and profitable.
  • Monitor cost per vehicle versus actual costs and identify trends.
  • Analyse maintenance plan burn rates by vehicle model and derivative.
  • Review and update service schedule pricing on a quarterly basis.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate provisioning per VIN.
  • Prepare service cost analyses to support financial provisions.
  • Monitor maintenance plan performance and identify unusual spending or trends.
  • Conduct dealer maintenance plan spot audits in collaboration with Warranty.
  • Support monthly Warranty and Maintenance steering committee meetings.
  • Develop and coordinate MVP marketing and communication material for dealers and customers.
  • Communicate MVP changes, labour rate increases and technical updates to the dealer network.
  • Work with Technical and Engineering teams to review service schedules and identify potential technical issues.
  • Support business planning and cost-per-vehicle calculations.
  • Provide financial controlling and reporting on MVP products.
  • Prepare monthly recall campaign reporting and analysis.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Diploma or relevant qualification.
  • A 3-year technical-related qualification will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the automotive industry.
  • Experience in automotive parts, technical, aftersales or panel shop environments will be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive market.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel; PowerPoint, Word and MS Project.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to investigate problems, identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict and engage diplomatically with different stakeholders.
  • Self-managed, results-driven and able to work towards deadlines and objectives.

We are looking for someone with a strong automotive background combined with financial/analytical capability. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with numbers, analysing trends and costs, while also engaging with dealers, Finance, Technical teams and other stakeholders.
