To operate Lithographer machine, performing complex sequences of operations and to undertake specific activities by: Checking settings and devices and activating corrective measures if necessary. Observing readings on visual displays and initiating adjustments.
Job Description

·Ensure that the job card is followed as per job specifications.

·Ensure that raw materials for the job card are available e.g. (Board, Inks, Coating, Plates). Machine Operator should switch on main run switches and ensure that the compressor and sir settings are set according to job specifications.

· Undertakes specific operations activities as follows:Switch parts on / off

·After collection of job card and gets raw material from the pallet, Machine Operator loads boards onto pallets and lift boards by adjusting the feeder head and the pile stack and start running the machine.

·Machine Operator must switch on the mail coating unit switch and dryer IR Lamp button then the board leave the intruder unit going through all the units for coating.

·After board coating, they get transferred to the dryer unit where the IR lamps dry the coating.

·The coated and dried boards are sent via the conveyer where the spray powder sprays onto board to prevent sticking of boards. Ensure that no wet and moldy pallets are to be used for stacking Job.

·Report and record any machine malfunctions. Ensure that the machine is cleaned.

·Monitor and ensure and ensure to follow quality procedures.   

·Follow job cards for instructions and to avoid any mistakes.

·Respect and follow the ISO quality standards and procedures to ensure full compliance of the SABS Quality management system. Report any defects to your HOD/ Foreman.        

·Production Sheets and checklist must be completed correctly.

·Record down time, and production book.

· Recording of waste.

·All coatings, varnishes and ink must be weighed before and after printing and recorded correctly.   

· These documents must be accurately Completed or if other electronic systems are available ensure that information is accurately captured.    

·Provide daily feedback or communicate with supervisor / foreman on any problems                   

·Be at the machine 15 minutes before starting up and leave after handover to next shift operator. Monitor targets.

·Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)

·Minimum of 2 years in Lithographer machine operations and trouble shooting.
