Job Description

Role discription

The Assembler is responsible for accurately and efficiently assembling, checking, and repacking products according to specified requirements. The role involves receiving items from the warehouse, ensuring that products meet the required quality and quantity standards, assembling products according to specifications, and returning completed items to the warehouse.

The Assembler is also responsible for maintaining good housekeeping and safety standards, adhering to HSE and PPE requirements, reporting discrepancies to the Team Leader or Supervisor, and providing support to other warehouse areas when required to meet operational demands.

Job Requirements

Minimum Skills & Knowledge

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • 1 years working experience in the warehouse
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
  • Above average literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Computer literacy will be an advantage.
  • Ability to handle repetitive work.
  • Must be able to adhere to flexible hours i.e. overtime and weekends as per operational requirements.

Key functions;

  • Receive items from the warehouse for assembly.
  • Check items for quality and quantity.
  • Assemble products according to specifications.
  • Repack products according to the description on the box or container.
  • Return assembled and quality-checked products to the warehouse.
  • Report discrepancies or inconsistencies to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
  • Assist in other positions and/or departments as required by operational needs.
  • Comply with all HSE rules, regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
