We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Employee Relations Officer to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation, and providing guidance and support to managers and employees across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to managers on employee relations matters.
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, incapacity, and misconduct processes.
- Conduct investigations and prepare reports on employee relations cases.
- Facilitate disciplinary hearings and employee consultations.
- Represent the company at CCMA conciliations and arbitration proceedings where required.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, company policies, and best practices.
- Support the implementation of performance management and corrective action processes.
- Monitor and identify employee relations trends and recommend proactive solutions.
- Build constructive relationships with employees, managers, and key stakeholders.
- Assist with policy development, communication, and training initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and provide employee relations reporting.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in Employee Relations or Human Resources.
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation, including:
- Labour Relations Act (LRA)
- Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
- Employment Equity Act (EEA)
- Skills Development Act
- Experience managing disciplinary hearings, grievances, and CCMA matters would be advantageous.
- Excellent investigation, interviewing, and report-writing skills
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Valid driver's licence advantageous and willingness to travel when required.
