VACANCY: GRAPHIC DESIGNERPATERSON C1

WCBS is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join the Marketing and Public Relations department and help bring the WCBS brand to life across digital, print and campaign platforms.

You’ll join a small, highly functional and multi-skilled team of driven creative thinkers with a positive, can-do attitude. It’s an opportunity to use your creativity with purpose – producing impactful work that inspires action and contributes to making a difference in people’s lives every day.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design engaging print and digital collateral, including advertisements, marketing materials, brochures, campaign artwork and internal communications in line with WCBS brand guidelines.
  • Design and compile WCBS newsletters in collaboration with the editorial team.
  • Manage design projects from brief to completion, including presenting concepts, meeting deadlines and maintaining an organised directory of creative work.
  • Create visual and short-form content for WCBS digital and social media platforms.
  • Contribute creative ideas and concepts to campaigns, social media and monthly content planning.
  • Capture and edit photography and video content when required.
  • Support WCBS social media engagement in line with organisational guidelines.
Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric Certificate
  • Relevant National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
  • 2-3 years’ experience relating to your qualification
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office
  • An unendorsed code 08 driver’s licence
  • Competent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • CapCut or similar video and photo editor

    Advantageous

  • HTML and CSS
  • Premier Pro
  • Meltwater
  • WordPress
  • Strong interest in AI, with familiarity in creative AI tools such as Kling, Claude and Adobe Firefly.
  • Digital Marketing knowledge, with an understanding of SEO and AEO

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and a strong team player.
