Job Description

Ecowize is looking for a certified and experienced Pest Control & Hygiene Technician to join our Pest Control and Hygiene Division in Cape Town.

The purpose of this role is to assess pest control requirements, determine the most appropriate treatment solutions, and ensure a consistently high standard of service is delivered to our customers.

The Pest Control & Hygiene Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all services are planned and completed in accordance with customer agreements, while maintaining accountability for the equipment and consumables used to deliver the services.

Key responsibilities:

• Inspect buildings, facilities, and surrounding areas for signs of insects, rodents, and other pests.

• Identify pest infestations and determine the most appropriate treatment method based on the type and extent of the infestation.

• Apply approved chemical treatments, powders, gases, baits, and other pest control products in accordance with required procedures and safety standards.

• Identify and manage a range of pests, including rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitoes, and bed bugs.

• Set and maintain mechanical traps and strategically place bait as required.

• Safely remove and dispose of rodents and other pests following treatment.

 

 

Job Requirements

• Grade 12
• Valid P-Registration with Department of Agriculture.
• At least 3 years previous experience as a Pest Control Technician
• Good understanding and knowledge of the Pest Control Industry and service orientated.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.
