PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of this role is to manage end-to-end procurement activities for capital projects, ensuring the cost-effective sourcing and purchasing of goods, services, and equipment while maintaining compliance with company policies, governance standards, and relevant legislation to support the successful delivery of Rand Refinery's capital projects plan.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Process capital expenditure purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with procurement policies and procedures.
- Validate pricing, quotations, commercial terms, and contract conditions before issuing purchase orders.
- Ensure procurement transactions are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Resolve purchasing, supplier, invoice, and creditor queries timeously
- Ensure procurement transactions are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Support commercial evaluation processes and sourcing activities.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance through supplier negotiations.
- Resolve purchasing, supplier, invoice, and creditor queries timeously.
- Coordinate and facilitate Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes for capital projects.
- Serve as the first point of contact for CAPEX sourcing requests.
- Ensure purchase orders are issued in accordance with approved contract terms and conditions.
- Monitor outstanding purchase orders and expedite deliveries.
- Provide regular updates to Project Managers and end users regarding order status and delivery timelines.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed Matric qualification.
- Completed NQF Level 5 qualification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a CAPEX purchasing environment.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical purchasing environment.
- Sound understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes.
- Knowledge of CAPEX purchasing processes and cost drivers.
- Technical purchasing knowledge related to capital projects.
