Job Description

Job Purpose

To support the Research team in producing and maintaining assigned reports and presentation decks, while providing relevant content for the Trade Tatler production.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

  • Report & Deck Management: Produce allocated sections of reports and trade profiles on time and at expected quality with assistance from senior staff; update and manage allocated presentation decks.

  • Thought Leadership & Content Sourcing: Source relevant content for Trade Tatler writers, contribute to thought-leadership articles, and assist with market research projects.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Maintain healthy relationships with internal team members and stakeholders, and share relevant industry information at weekly Research team update meetings.

  • Best Practice & Continuous Improvement: Follow Research team SOPs and suggest updates to reflect best practice; monitor local and global FMCG industry-related websites and articles to provide insights that continually enhance Trade Intelligence Research reports and presentations.

Performance Measures

  • On-time and high-quality report production for allocated sections and trade profiles.

  • Quality contributions to thought-leadership articles and market research projects.

  • Accurate updating and management of presentation decks and content sourcing for Trade Tatler.

  • Active sharing of relevant industry insights during weekly team updates.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Relevant qualification in Marketing, Business Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience working in the South African food and grocery industry is an advantage.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to work within the Google ecosystem and applications.
