We are looking for a suitably qualified and motivated Learning & Development Practitioner to join our Learning & Development team.
The successful candidate will play an important role in equipping employees with the knowledge, practical skills and competencies required to perform effectively. The role is also responsible for supporting continuous professional development across the organisation and facilitating operational and theoretical training.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate training and development programmes according to organisational and individual learning needs.
- Develop, review and update training materials and in-house learning programmes.
- Implement assessments and monitor trainee progress.
- Provide coaching, counselling and mentoring to trainees throughout their training.
- Assist with proficiency testing and practical examinations for Medical Technicians.
- Support statutory training requirements and employee CPD compliance.
- Liaise with educational institutions regarding registrations, attendance and assessments.
- Prepare and facilitate lectures for relevant external stakeholders on blood transfusion products and procedures.
- Maintain accurate training records and support departmental administration and audit preparation.
- Participate in relevant committees, continuous improvement initiatives and the Quality Management System.
- Maintain professional competence by remaining current with developments in blood banking, training methodologies and relevant technologies.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- BTech Biomedical or Bachelor of Health Scientist in Medical Laboratory Scientist degree
- Train-the-Trainer qualification (would be an advantage)
- Assessor qualification (would be an advantage)
- Moderator qualification (would be an advantage)
- Current registration with the HPCSA
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in the appropriate discipline
A combination of the following skills, knowledge, and attributes is required:

- Training administration, record management and programme coordination
- Microsoft 365 proficiency
- Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused service delivery
- QMS compliance, audit support and document control

- Commitment to quality, continuous improvement and professional development
- Professional integrity, accountability and teamwork
