Direct Motor Sales Call Centre Agent

At dotsure.co.za, we believe insurance should feel simple, effective and human. We’re looking for a Direct Motor Sales Agent who knows how to connect with customers over the phone, confidently handle objections and turn quality leads into motor insurance sales.

This is a sales-driven call centre role. You’ll work with leads generated through our dealer network, speak directly to customers, provide quotations and close policies. If you’re resilient, competitive, comfortable working to a script and know when a conversation needs a little extra thinking on your feet, you could thrive here.

About the role

You’ll be part of our George-based sales team, helping customers find the right insurance cover while contributing directly to our sales performance.

Your day will involve contacting allocated leads, understanding customers’ needs, preparing personalised quotations and confidently asking for the sale. When customers hesitate, you’ll use strong objection-handling skills to keep the conversation moving. Once they’re ready to proceed, you’ll complete the underwriting process accurately and in line with the required scripts and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.

You’ll also follow up on open leads, capture customer information accurately, upsell relevant products and provide clear feedback to the Account Handlers supporting the dealer network.

This is a fast-paced environment where resilience, tenacity, discipline and consistency matter. You’ll need to be comfortable with repetitive sales activity, rejection and busy periods, while still giving every customer a professional experience.

Job Requirements

Minimum requirements

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Matric (minimum requirement)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Strong sales ability, including objection handling and closing
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to capture information accurately
• Ability to multitask, prioritise your workload and perform under pressure
• Flexibility to support the operational needs of a busy sales environment

Advantageous:

• Call centre, telesales, insurance or financial services sales experience, as well as the ability to communicate in additional South African languages.
• FAIS accreditation and a COB or higher qualification

• You’re driven by targets and enjoy the challenge of converting a lead into a sale. You can follow a structured sales script without sounding scripted, and you’re confident enough to adapt when a customer throws you an unexpected objection.
• You’re also someone the team can rely on. You understand that sales environments have peak periods, and you’re willing to put in the extra effort when the business needs it.
• Most importantly, you can balance commercial drive with doing right by the customer.
