Job Description
- Monitor and control procurement processes, including PR, SR and PO workflows, MRP requirements, Stores transactions and material movements, ensuring timely approvals and accurate status reporting.
- Monitor expenditure, commitments and budgets, identify variances or potential overruns, verify financial coding and ensure accurate allocation of costs to the correct cost centres, projects and operational areas.
- Perform contractor invoice verification and processing, including checking invoices against POs, approved rates and supporting documentation, creating GRNs in D365, and maintaining invoice, expenditure and commitment schedules.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly cost-control reports and support month-end activities, including accruals, commitments, reallocations, reconciliations and cost analysis.
- Monitor and reconcile operational consumption and production costs, including explosives, grout/backfill materials, diesel, satellite-store transactions and other mining inputs, and investigate discrepancies.
- Provide costing, procurement and administrative support to Mining, Engineering, Mine Technical Services and other shaft-level support functions while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with financial and procurement controls.
- Liaise with Procurement, Stores, Accounts Payable, operational teams and service providers to resolve transaction and invoice queries, and escalate significant cost, procurement or control exceptions to the relevant management.
- Procurement Superintendent and relevant stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Accounting.
- National Diploma or Degree in Cost & Management Accounting, Accounting Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in mining finance, cost control and management accounting support.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency would be advantageous.
- Practical exposure to Stores and materials management processes, including stock receiving, issuing, reconciliations and stock control (advantageous).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365, SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Experience in supporting budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, variance analysis and month-end close processes.
- Valid certificate of physical fitness
