The purpose of the job is to create and maintain debtor accounts, collect all overdue monies on the debtor’s book and resolve any remaining outstanding amounts, minimizing bad debt, and maintaining productive business relationships with customers. The Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of credit controllers.
Job Description

CREDIT CONTROLLER DUTIES:

  1. Credit applications: collate information to enable final assessment of credit applications.
  2. Debtor reviews / increased limits: collate information to enable reviews.
  3. Account maintenance: maintain debtor accounts.
  4. Customer statements: send out monthly statements to customers.
  5. Collections: collect overdue debts.
  6. Account queries: effectively deal with accounts queries and reconciliations.
  7. Reporting: prepare debtor reports.
  8. Credit Control Activities: perform credit control activities.
  9. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures

 

TEAM LEAD DUTIES:

  1. Debtors’ administration.
  2. Customer relationships
  3. Team management
  4. Uphold and promote the company values.
Job Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or related field (preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience in credit control
  • Preferably experience in leading a small team of credit controllers
