Job Description

SoluGrowth is looking for an analytical and innovative Infrastructure Support Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud computing applications and data management systems for both Solugrowth and Clients. The ideal candidate should have experience in supporting medium to large networks; data centre management; cloud infrastructure management; worked with various networking tools and protocols; a good understanding of network security; and a desire to stay current with new technology solutions.

Job Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, MS Azure, Huawei Cloud, Google Cloud).
• Manage and support Linux systems and Windows systems.
• Maintain and build scripts to manage the cloud infrastructure and server instances.
• Conduct short-term and long-term network architecture planning to meet current and expanding business requirements.
• Troubleshoot router and switch connectivity.
• Provide top level network support within defined SLAs.
• Work with the Information Security and Software Development departments to design an operating environment and data flow that is secure.
• Develop testing and implementation plans for projects with multiple moving parts.
• Actively participate in troubleshooting and RCA for security and INF events.
• Consistently provide high quality work in a deadline driven environment.
• Accountable for accomplishing tasks both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience working in cloud-native tools and services
• Experience infrastructure cost and capacity optimisation and management.
• Experience security management of public facing applications
• Professional experience and knowledge of the telecommunications industry preferred
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex problems or processes, identify, and understand issues and manage solutions.
• Strong creativity, problem solving skills and ability to apply original thinking to produce new ideas and innovative solutions to operational activities.

Certifications Preferred

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Similar

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Similar

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Matric Certificate

• BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Industry certifications preferred.

• 2+ years of network or network management experience in a technical networking role, including but not limited to – design, implementation, disaster recovery, network security architecture and engineering.

• Ability to provide automation solutions using PowerShell, Python and JSON.

• Platform and OS experience: Linux, UNIX, Server 2003, Server 2008, Server 2012, Windows OS, iOS.
