The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production in accordance with ALAF Limited’s production standards, procedures, and safety requirements.

Job Description – Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor assigned production machines effectively and safely.
  • Set up machines and make necessary adjustments according to production requirements.
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to required quality specifications.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machines and report faults or abnormalities promptly.
  • Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance as required.
  • Maintain continuous production flow and minimize machine downtime.
  • Record production output, machine performance, and operational issues accurately.
  • Follow all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping within the work area.
  • Assist maintenance personnel during machine repairs and servicing when required.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and perform other duties assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Previous experience in machine operation or a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of machine operation, production processes, and equipment safety.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under production targets.
  • Physically fit and willing to work in shifts where required.
  • Strong safety awareness and discipline.
