Job Description

Ecowize is looking for a commercially minded and operationally strong National Logistics and Warehousing Manager to lead our national warehousing, inventory, logistics and order fulfilment function across in-house and outsourced sites.

This senior management role is responsible for working with the warehouse managers to ensure products are received, stored, picked, packed and delivered accurately, safely, on time and within budget. The successful candidate will drive national standards, improve operational performance, manage key service providers and support excellent customer fulfilment.

Key Responsibilities:

• National Warehouse Management by standardising and controlling warehouse operations across all in-house and outsourced sites.
• Inventory Management by safeguarding stock accuracy, availability, and value nationally and identifying slow moving stock and product expiry risks.
• Logistics and Distribution by managing national transport, distribution and third-party logistics performance and cost.
• Customer Service and Order Fulfilment by ensuring accurate, complete and on-time delivery to customers.
• People Management by leading, developing and holding accountable the warehouse, logistics and customer care teams.
• Cost and Performance Management by managing budgets, costs and operational performance within approved targets.
• Compliance, Safety and Risk by ensuring legal, policy, safety and security compliance across all sites.
• Continuous Improvement by standardising best practice and delivering measurable operational and financial benefit.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Operations or Business Management.
• 5+ years’ warehouse, logistics and supply chain management experience.
• 3+ years’ multi-site or national operational management experience.
• Experience leading managers or management teams.
• Strong inventory, stock control, transporter, 3PL and outsourced provider management experience.
• Budgeting, cost management and operational reporting experience.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s license and willingness to travel nationally.

Advantageous:

• Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Management.
• Recognised supply chain or logistics certification.
• Experience with WMS/scanning systems, Sage 300, Microsoft Excel.

The successful incumbent must have the following skill sets:

• Highly computer literate: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.

• High work standards, excellent communication skills, energetic and driven.
