Job Description

Overview

Implement and manage the occupational health programme by delivering medical surveillance, health assessments and occupational health services in compliance with company standards, legislation and best practice.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational health assessments, medical surveillance and fitness-for-work evaluations.
  • Manage pre-employment, periodic, transfer, return-to-work, incapacity and exit medicals.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, surveillance registers and statutory reports.
  • Monitor employee health trends, absenteeism and occupational health risks.
  • Manage clinic medication, equipment, supplies and healthcare resources.
  • Provide occupational health advice, counselling and support to employees and management.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health legislation, company policies, SOPs, GMP and GLP requirements.
  • Compile and submit monthly occupational health reports and medical statistics.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of occupational health programmes, procedures and processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to promote employee health, safety and wellbeing.

Qualification:

  • Grade 12 and Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Diploma in Occupational Health.
  • Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Certified to perform hearing, vision and respiratory screening.

Experience:

  • 4–6 years' experience in an occupational health environment.
