We are looking for a Junior Finance Assistant to join our Finance team and support the day-to-day financial administration of the business. Job Description

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised, detail-oriented and passionate about finance, with the confidence to work with multiple stores and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, accountability and a strong commitment to accurate financial processing and reconciliations.

Duties will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Process invoices, payments and financial transactions accurately and timeously.
  • Perform store petty cash reconciliations, ensuring supporting documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with company policies.
  • Reconcile store petty cash balances and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review and verify store expense claims, receipts and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Perform bank and other financial reconciliations as required.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Support financial reporting, data capturing and general finance administration.
  • Liaise with stores, internal departments and external suppliers when required.
  • Ensure financial processes are completed in line with company policies and internal controls.
  • Performing routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the accountant
Job Requirements

Qualifications and competencies

  • Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 1–2 years' relevant finance or accounting experience would be advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic retail environment.
