Job Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller: Construction Materials, the incumbent will be based at Shared Services Centre in Weltevreden Park.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Producing variance reports from the raw material reconciliation including fuel inventory and conduct research to explain variance
- Preparing and processing of stock adjustments
- Administering GL accounts recons accurately, including the suspense accounts
- Controlling assets, inventory and GL Accounts
- Managing and facilitating all costing and system processes in support of the management accounts.
Job Requirements
Qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Grade 12 with accounting and mathematics and a National Diploma in Accounting or BComm Accounting
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a financial environment as a bookkeeper/accountant or management accounting clerk
- Good understanding of the business processes relating to raw material stock schedules and reconciliation
- Proficient user in SAP FI – CO and MM
- Proficient in Microsoft Office excel & word
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills, self-driven and team player
- Ability to work in a pressurised deadline driven environment
- Have a code 8 drivers licenses
