Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

Coordinate sample preparation and routine analytical activities on day shift, ensuring quality, throughput, and adherence to laboratory procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise sample preparation (drying, crushing, pulverising, splitting) activities.
• Perform routine analyses and support fire assay operations.
• Monitor QA/QC compliance in sample preparation and analysis.
• Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and consumables stock levels.
• Train and mentor junior laboratory technicians.
• Enforce safety, dust control, and housekeeping standards

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, or related field
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a mining/mineral laboratory
• Supervisory experience is an added advantage
• Sample preparation techniques and basic laboratory equipment operation
• Fire assay and wet chemistry support techniques
