A Basic Ambulance Assistant (BAA) is a foundational Basic Life Support (BLS) practitioner and the entry-level crew member for ambulance services, roughly equivalent to the U.S. Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B). BAA practitioners are typically the first responders on the scene, responsible for stabilizing patients and ensuring their safe transport to medical facilities

Job Requirements

• Matric compulsory

• Appropriate Life Support qualification (BLS / ECA)

• At least 3 years’ experience at the appropriate level

• Valid Driver’s License and PDP License

• Registration with HPCSA

• Current / updated CPG compliance
