Job Description

To operate manufacturing and packing equipment to produce quality products safely and efficiently. This includes handling raw materials, preparing, cleaning and sanitising equipment and work areas, performing contamination sampling, completing related administrative tasks, and troubleshooting equipment when required.

Job Requirements

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate manufacturing and packaging equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with GMP, SHE and standard operating procedures
  • Conduct routine pre-production inspections and equipment checks to ensure production readiness and compliance with quality standards
  • Prepare production areas, equipment and materials according to zoned areas, to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Perform manufacturing, inspection (manual / automated) and packaging activities in line with production targets, whilst maintaining product quality and process efficiency
  • Complete routine cleaning, equipment care, sampling, non viable monitoring, waste management and operator support activities to maintain operational continuity
  • Conduct preventative maintenance & resolve routine equipment issues by performing basic to intermediate adjustments and escalate complex faults to maintenance for support
  • Complete production documentation accurately and maintain records to support quality, compliance and operational reporting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • N4 - N6 Certification in Mechanical /Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering

Experience

  • 2 Years’ Related Experience (preferably Manufacturing)
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Pharmaceutical production processes, procedures, systems and equipment
  • Strong understanding of Pharmaceutical standards and compliance requirements
