Job Description

To act as the key link between Production Managers and Production Teams, to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives all whilst providing operational leadership, driving continuous improvement and supporting production planning to achieve operational excellence.

Job Requirements

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate production plans into executable shift priortities to achieve targets and desired output
  • Lead and coordinate daily operations, optimise resources, and develop high performing teams
  • Conduct performance management, coaching and developing discussions in line with people management
  • Ensure efficient execution of manufacturing and packing activities by coordinating cross-functional support, resolving operational issues, driving adherance to production schedules and operational performance metrics
  • Coordinate activities from various departments including but not limited to Engineering, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Warehouse & Planning
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and other investigations, process optimisation and the implementation of best practices to improve productivity, quality and equipment performance.
  • Ensure production operations comply with GMP, GDP, SHE and company standards by maintaining audit readiness, managing operational risks, and promoting a strong culture of quality, safety and compliance.
  • Managing the execution of multiple production activities across various production lines to ensure a smooth and effective workflow throughout the facility

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification

  • Grade 12, preferably with Math's & Science 
  • N4 - N6 Certification in Engineering Studies/ Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • Trade Tested Artisan (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics)

Experience

  • 2 - 4 Years’ Post Apprenticeships experience
  • Use of Hand Tools & Computer literate in MS Office
  • Experience in first line maintenance 
  • Applied knowledge of SAP & MES or other ERP systems
  • Setting Up & Maintenance of PLC operated production equipment
